By adding the ACLU to your email signature, you are encouraging people to become more aware and active around civil liberties issues every time you send an email. Adding the ACLU to your signature line is easy and won't affect your ability to send or receive email.

How To Edit  Your Email Signature

Highlight the sample email signature you would like to use.  Copy and paste the signature in the edit portion of your email software.  If you don't know how to edit your signature, please select your email software:

• Hotmail                                
• Yahoo                                
• Microsoft Outlook                         
• AOL

For Hotmail:

• Go to Options -> Signatures. Select the "Rich Text Box" box.

For Yahoo:

• Go to Yahoo Mail.
• Select Options in the upper right-hand corner.
• In Management -> Signature. 
• Choose color and graphics.
• Select the "Add signature to all outgoing messages" box.

For Microsoft Outlook:

• Go to Tools -> Options -> Mail Format. 
• For "Compose in This Message Format", select "HTML" or “Plain Text,” depending on your preference.  
• You can then edit your Signature: In “Email Signature”, select Edit (or New).
• In order to use a graphic, you will need to use the "Advanced Edit."

For AOL:

• Go to Mail pull-down menu -> signatures -> create.
• Check that the default is set.
