#FreedomNow: Global Call to Action 7.21
Page Media
The ACLU of Northern California supports the Movement for Black Lives and the collective #FreedomNow actions taking place globally on Thursday, July 21.
We join the call for an end to the tragic and violent deaths of Black people at the hands of police. This violence is the result of decades of systemic and institutional racism. We must have accountable and transparent policing and end the blatant disregard for Black lives.
There are events happening in San Jose, Petaluma, Berkeley, at OPD Headquarters, and Oscar Grant Plaza in Oakland. You can take our free Mobile Justice app with you so you can film the police using your smartphone.
