Every county in California has one elected district attorney and one elected sheriff. One Tuesday, June 3rd, it is our responsibility as voters in this state to cast our vote for these powerful elected officials.

District attorneys and sheriffs have the power to help California shift gears on criminal justice. For far too long, California's criminal justice system has been stuck in first gear—the gear that funnels people into jails and prisons. This has resulted in a terribly overcrowded and wasteful system that fails to rehabilitate and put people back on track. California can shift gears by implementing common-sense reforms that hold people who have committed crimes accountable, improve public safety, and address the root cause of criminal behavior.

Meaningful and lasting reform to our criminal justice system starts at the county level; it starts with our elected district attorneys and sheriffs.

Let's all help California shift gears on criminal justice. Vote on Tuesday, June 3 for your district attorney and sheriff. #VOTEJune3
