Together, We Show Up

Our work for equality, justice, and freedom is simply not possible without our full community of partners – clients, activists, volunteers, community organizations, members, and donors.

We hope you are inspired by this short video highlighting members of our ACLU community, the critical fights we’re facing, and the power we have together. Watch below, then keep showing up by donating to sustain our victories and fuel the fights ahead.

In the past year alone, the ACLU community fought to secure abortion rights in Michigan, defend trans youth from political attacks in Arkansas and Texas, stop law enforcement’s collusion with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in California, and block Florida from censoring lessons about race and gender in college classrooms. Our freedoms are at stake, and we need you with us!

Donate today to advance our work in the courts, the legislature, and communities.

About the artist

The art on this page was created by Nimah Gobir, a first-generation, Black American artist, whose paintings document how she creates relationships and cultivates community. Gobir's art presents past moments but also finds new life as she unravels and recontextualizes their impact on who she is today.

This is the website of the ACLU of Northern California, a 501(c4) non-profit.
