Isir Said (she/her)
Isir Said is a Skadden fellow at the ACLU of Northern California, where she works on statewide litigation and policy advocacy relating to surveillance, national security abuses, and criminal justice.
Prior to joining ACLU NorCal, Isir served as a law clerk to Judge Keith P. Ellison of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and Judge Jennifer Sung of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Isir has a bachelor’s in political and social thought from the University of Virginia and a juris doctorate from Yale Law School, where she was a member of the Worker and Immigrant Rights Advocacy Clinic.
Outside of work, Isir enjoys being outdoors, traveling, playing cards, and spending time with her loved ones.
