Lauren Davis (she/her)

Lauren Davis is a legal fellow at the ACLU of Northern California, where she supports the department’s litigation, policy, and advocacy matters.

Prior to joining ACLU NorCal, Lauren interned for the Collateral Consequences Unit at Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, where she advocated for clients at risk of losing their housing and employment. She also interned with Leadership Counsel for Justice and Accountability and at the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Sacramento.

Lauren is a graduate of UC Berkeley School of Law, where she participated in the Death Penalty Clinic and advocated for a client on death row in Alabama. While in law school, Lauren was part of the Berkeley Law Afghanistan Project, the Contra Costa Reentry Project, and Central Valley BLAST: a pro-bono service trip in her hometown of Fresno. She also volunteered at a Fresno-based expungement clinic.

Prior to law school, Lauren worked as a 2019-2020 judicial fellow and was subsequently hired to work in court administration in Alameda County.

In her spare time, Lauren enjoys swimming and indoor climbing.
